Adopt A Canal Program

So who’s running to ECWCD – not Desmond Barrett --- Mr. Barrett is spending your tax dollars on whimsical flights of fancy --- At the ECWCD meeting board on June 27th they voted 3 to 1 to approve the Adopt A Canal Program even when their own attorney stated that there exists a possibility that there is an inherited liability cost to this project and that the ECWCD could be sued if a volunteer gets hurts on district lands.

On June 29th Lehigh Acres Watchdog, Inc was the first group to sign up for a canal – BUT as of this release ECWCD still has not supplied the signs, poles, bags or vests to do the job my group volunteered to do per the contract.

Does Mr. Barrett wish to discontinue the program or does he want to sit back chase he rainbow to the county commission.

UPDATE -- Why did it take 3 1/2 months to get the signs -- signs were install on 10/11/05 WHY?? Why didn't Chairman Barrett check on his project until 10/7/05 -- is this a whimsical flights of fancy can we trust him as a County Commissioner -- You tell me?????????
